Introduction to Part III
The Conservation Review Board was established in 1975 under Part III of the Ontario Heritage Act. The Review Board hears matters under Part IV and Part VI of the Act.
In addition to giving the Review Board certain additional responsibilities, Bill 60 also added section 25.1 to permit the cross-appointment of Review Board members to panels of the Ontario Municipal Board hearing appeals under the Act.
The members of the Conservation Review Board are appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
