We have considerable practical skill in dealing with large development projects that involve a wide range of challenging issues and which require a multi-disciplinary consulting team. These projects include:
Town of Ajax – Secondary Plan for the A6 Secondary Planning Area in northern Ajax, involving over a dozen plans of subdivision, school sites, parks and related retail and service facilities;
Municipality of Wawa – traprock quarry on lands located adjacent to Lake Superior in Michipicoten Harbour;
SmartCentres – over 40 shopping centre projects across the Province of Ontario;
Walmart Canada Corp – numerous projects across the Province of Ontario;
Loblaws, Costco and other retailers – extensive experience in regard to commercial projects across the Province of Ontario;
Ken Fowler Enterprises – Red Leaves four season resort master planned community on the shores of Lake Rosseau, Muskoka, including The Rock golf course, Minnett Landing pedestrian village and the Rosseau – J.W. Marriott Hotel;
Festival Hall Developments – a large-scale entertainment and commercial development at John and Richmond Streets in the City of Toronto;
Metrus Developments Inc. – 1,400 residential units and related retail and service commercial on the site of a former refinery in Oakville, Ontario;
Port Royal Developments – a seven building condominium development at Dundas and Islington in the City of Toronto; and
Marathon Realty – mixed-use development project in the City of Toronto Railway Lands.
We have experience on projects in both larger cities and smaller communities across the Province. We are sensitive to the politics and sensibilities of smaller communities.
In course of these projects, it is not uncommon that we lead and assist an interdisciplinary team of experts through the approvals process. These teams include planners, traffic engineers, civil engineers, acoustical engineers, environmental consultants and other, specialized, technical experts. Our understanding of the different areas of expertise in such teams means that we can provide the informed guidance required in strategy development and implementation to considerably enhance the prospect of success.
