The Local Planning Appeal Support Centre Act, 2017 establishes the Local Planning Appeal Support Centre (the "Centre"), a new independent provincial agency which will provide free support and information to eligible persons who wish to participate in matters before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (the "Tribunal").
The Centre will provide the following services:
- information on land use planning
- guidance on Tribunal procedures
- advice or representation
- any other services prescribed by regulation
Eligibility criteria for receiving these services will be determined by the Centre, subject to any rules prescribed by regulation, and will be available to the public. These support services will be available throughout the Province.
As more information becomes available on the Centre, we will update the annotations and information in our Guide.
