On 12-13 March 2015, the Ontario Municipal Board will be holding its first prehearing conference on OPA 231, the City of Toronto’s newly proposed economic policies. This OPA forms part of the City’s most recent Municipal Comprehensive Review, through which a number of employment lands conversion requests were received. OPA 231 also includes policies regarding retail and office uses. The City received 178 appeals of OPA 231, and it is expected that additional persons will be seeking party status to the proceeding.
